… reassembles carpet samples collected during my work at Ruby Hotels. Every piece comes from a carpet design that was actually used in the corridors of a Ruby hotel in Europe. I cut the samples into interlocking shapes and composed them as a new rug, bringing patterns from different hotels together on one surface. The project takes designs made for spaces of passage and gives them a place to stay.
