… explores the expressive and structural possibilities of exposed concrete through the design and construction of an unconventional piece of furniture. Recycled concrete was deliberately used to demonstrate how convincingly reused material can perform even in a precisely formed object. The sculptural geometry pushes concrete beyond its familiar architectural applications and uses the chair as an experiment to explore the material’s potential for complex forms, surfaces and construction.
